TOUR PROGRAM

Days 1 – 2: Milan to Barolo

Departing from either MILAN or TURIN, your journey begins in Piedmont’s renowned BAROLO region, widely recognized for producing many of the country’s top wines. Here, you’ll spend your first days exploring a few of the vineyards and wineries responsible for some of the region’s finest red wines—predominantly from its signature grape variety, Nebbiolo. In addition to private visits at select wineries, each offering a unique glimpse into the art of Italian winemaking, you’ll savor sumptuous meals at local eateries, capped off with an evening at a Michelin-starred restaurant, before returning to your luxury retreat.

Days 3 – 4: Barbaresco

Similar to its more famous sibling Barolo, BARBARESCO is made from 100% Nebbiolo and shares its cult status as one of the finest wines in the world. Discover the differences between the two areas as you delve into the second half of your tour. In addition to exclusive wine tastings, your time in Barbaresco will be made more memorable with a guided truffle expedition. Learn the time-honored tradition of truffle hunting as your guide leads you on a search for either white or black truffles, depending on the season. Afterwards, relish a delightful lunch at a local farm and cheese producer, where you’ll savor raw milk cheeses. The afternoon is reserved for another enriching wine tasting in Barbaresco and concludes in the historic town of ALBA. Enjoy a final dinner at a charming family-owned restaurant in the heart of Alba before your departure back to Milan or Turin the following morning.

Days 5 – 6: Optional Extension in Roero, Alta Langa, and Carema

Extend your tour to delve into Piedmont’s lesser known, but up and coming regions. Taste the refreshing white Arneis wines of the ROERO before venturing to rising star ALTA LANGA – a region noted for its sparkling wines – which boasts ancient hills and a breathtaking backdrop of snow-capped mountains. Next, you’ll explore the hidden corners of CAREMA, a DOCG known for its red wines from the Nebbiolo grape, which grow on steep, terraced hillsides. Your extended tour concludes with a visit to ASTI to delight in the charming effervescence of the Moscato d’Asti wines, before heading back to Milan or Turn for your departure.
