Days 1 – 2: Florence & the Tuscan Coast

Your journey begins in the bustling center of FLORENCE, where you’ll check into your deluxe hotel. Later that day, enjoy a leisurely stroll to a fine dining restaurant for dinner. Day two includes breakfast at your accommodations before venturing to the stunning TUSCAN COAST, savoring scenic vistas and a stop for artisanal wine and lunch at a boutique estate winery along the way. Explore international varieties such as Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon alongside local native Sangiovese, Ciliegiolo, or local Vermentino. Serenity awaits as you check into your family retreat, which offers unobstructed views of the sea and Elba Island. Dinner tonight will be a casual affair at the hotel, featuring delicious food paired with local wines.

Day 3: Bolgheri & Tuscan Coast

On the morning of day three, you’ll visit the marvelous hamlet of BOLGHERI, home of the iconic Super Tuscan wines. Visit a top boutique winery to sample the region’s specialty wine, then savor mouthwatering seafood at a coastal Michelin-starred restaurant before returning to the hotel to unwind. Later that day, a short drive will put you in the tiny medieval village of SUVERETO, hometown of Fufluns founder, Filippo Magnani. Explore Il Chiostro convent, sip on homemade aperitifs, and enjoy local traditions while meeting local people in the center of town. A visit to a fine winery for a lovely dinner will follow.

Days 4 – 5: Brunello di Montalcino to Chianti Classico

On today’s agenda: a journey to the captivating wine region of BRUNELLO DI MONTALCINO, to savor acclaimed wines made of 100% pure Sangiovese Grosso at two premium wineries. Here, you’ll discover the elegance of Sangiovese Grosso and Brunello di Montalcino wines, cultivated only in this part of Tuscany. After lunch, take a short stroll into the charming streets of Montalcino’s medieval village before heading to the CHIANTI CLASSICO region, where a deluxe hotel or wine resort will be your home base for two nights. A light dinner will be followed by plenty of time for R&R the next morning.

Day 6: Discovering the Wine Region of the Black Ruster Chianti Classico

With your morning free, book a spa treatment at the hotel, or take a taxi into nearby SIENA to walk around and have lunch. By afternoon, you’ll be ready to venture into the heart of CHIANTI CLASSICO for a comprehensive immersion into its wine heritage. Visiting two to three fine wine estates, you’ll discover small artisan winemakers producing excellent examples of Sangiovese. A tantalizing dinner at the estate concludes this spectacular day.

Day 7: Return to Florence

Conclude this extraordinary tour with a scenic drive back to Florence, with a final exquisite stop in SAN GIMIGNANO followed by a winery visit sipping the white Vernaccia grape and lunch along the way to end on a high note.

Days 8 – 9: Optional Extension to Montepulciano

Extend your trip as you venture off-the-beaten path through Tuscany, starting with a visit to MONTEPULCIANO, home of the classic red Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG wines. Explore the picturesque hilltop town and its acclaimed wines before visiting CHIANTI RUFINA or CARMIGNANO DOCG, two of the most famous subzones of Italy’s Chianti region. Your extended itinerary will also find you exploring the hidden corners of MAREMMA, where the sea, hills, and mountains intersect along the southwest coast of Tuscany, before heading back to Florence for your departure.
