Days 1 – 4: Piedmont
This tour unfolds in Lombardy’s capital city of MILAN, known for its advances in art, fashion, design, and commerce. From here, you’ll venture to the leading wine regions of Piedmont, regarded as the ultimate wine destination for serious oenophiles, to delve into the delights of Dolcetto, Barbera, and, of course, Nebbiolo wines. You’ll kick things off in the revered BAROLO region—arguably the most famous DOCG in Italy—where you’ll stay in a deluxe resort offering exquisite views of the region’s most famous vineyards. The first two days will be spent experiencing the wines and hospitality of Barolo’s prestigious estates, with stops for private tastings at select, family-run wineries, as well as dinner at a Michelin-starred restaurant. Day three introduces you to BARBARESCO, where, like its sister region of Barolo, the wines are made from the iconic Nebbiolo grape. Here, indulge in acclaimed, hard-to-find wines and locally made cheeses, as well as a relaxing, wine-paired lunch. The day concludes with a stop in ALBA, a town famous for its white truffle and local hazelnuts. Depending on your itinerary, you may also spend time discovering the rising star wine regions of ROERO, known for its refreshing Arneis white wine, and ALTA LANGA, a breathtaking area noted for its sparkling wines.

 Days 5 – 7: Lombardy / Veneto
The journey continues into Lombardy’s FRANCIACORTA, a small region acclaimed for its sparkling wines, before transitioning to the famed Veneto region in northeastern Italy. Experience Franciacorta’s finesse at premium wineries, complemented by lunch with scenic views of Lake Iseo. Next, you’ll make your way to VERONA (birthplace of Romeo and Juliet), a city rich with artistic heritage, an ancient Roman amphitheater known as the Arena, and annual open-air opera performances in the summer months. Discover the appeal of this Adige River city before delving into the white wines of the SOAVE, widely known as one of the most charming white wine DOC. You’ll savor the region’s crisp, fruity wines at local wineries, meeting with the winemakers themselves, before dining in the quaint atmosphere of a family-owned restaurant within Soave’s medieval walls. On the sixth day, the VALPOLICELLA awaits, offering a taste of the Veneto’s renowned red wines, Amarone. You’ll taste wine at two top wineries before enjoying a leisurely boat tour on LAKE GARDA, leading you to the picturesque village of SIRMIONE, a gem filled with narrow streets, specialty shops, and an impressive medieval castle. This truly immersive week-long tour concludes with a memorable farewell dinner in Verona, before your return to Milan.
