Days 1 – 2: Rome to Orvieto

After being picked up from the Rome airport, your adventure begins near the ancient city of ORVIETO, where you’ll check into your four-star hotel. Settle into your luxurious room before indulging in an evening of exquisite local wines and fine dining. Orvieto, the main wine hub of Umbria, is the quintessential Italian city, offering unspoiled beauty and spectacular vistas from its cliff-top position. Day two unfolds with visits to distinguished wineries in Orvieto and Orvieto Classico, each offering unique experiences and opportunities to taste the region’s main white grape, Grechetto, followed by an enchanting evening of food and wine in Orvieto’s historic center, rich in Etruscan heritage.

Day 3: Civita di Bagnoregio to Rome

The final day of your tour leads to the magical CIVITA DI BAGNOREGIO, an Entruscan-era town with over 2,500 years of history, which is perched precariously atop a cliff. Here, you’ll have the freedom to enjoy lunch and explore at your leisure, capturing the essence of this photogenic locale before your comfortable return to Rome in the afternoon.

Days 4 – 5: Optional Extension in Montefalco

Extend your visit with two nights in the magnificent MONTEFALCO wine area, tasting Sagrantino di Montefalco, a powerful red wine made with 100% Sagrantino. Spend both nights in a luxury Relais hotel in the scenic Umbrian countryside before departing back to Rome or other destinations in nearby Assisi and Perugia or even in Tuscany.
